We arrived home on the 4th of July. Mimi and Grandpa Towne flew in from NH that day too.
Bonding time with Grandpa Matt.
Bonding time with Mimi Karen or Mimi K...
This is what my mom looks like in a state of bliss.
My parents spent a few days with us. Mom's expertise with babies, breast feeding and "what's normal after birth" were so helpful. Her patience and support got me/us through a few rough days of challenging breast feeding and early parenthood. Our fridge was immediately filled with my favorite foods...Dad and Ryan worked on house projects that have been on our list for ever - replacing the toilet (it now takes less than 10 gallons to flush), putting the crib together, and some washer/dryer maintenance. Simply nice to spend this rare and special time with them.
It was a close squeeze time wise. My parents ended up flying from Minneapolis - to Boston - to France all in the same day. Whoa.
