Life on the sahara

Clearly, I've never been a naturalist in Africa. Roll with it...

Giraffe are a herd species. Seeking the company of others as they browse the grasslands.

(The camera zooms out.)

Lions stalk their prey from a distance...waiting for just the right moment to strike. When they do, it's as if they've devised a plan ahead of time.

"I think we could take 'em. But steer clear of the big one in the middle. Her cuteness is fierce."

Luckily this herd will move on unfazed. And the lions will go hungry. Poor lions.

Kate and John visit

Kate and John drove the long way north from Milwaukee to visit this weekend. So great to see them.

Walking in Congdon Park.

Yes, that IS nature guys.

Old friends, new memories.

This puppet show may have been rated PG...there was a parade, music and a burnt out rabbit. Lucy has to learn about life somehow and we know that disney isn't going to do it.

Apples!

It was a lovely day. There were friends. There were apples...a tractor train...and babies.
A fall weekend in Stillwater.

Nicole, Emily, Tessa and Wade walking quickly. Gotta get those apples before all the other guys.

Lucy makes this same face sometimes when I pick her up. Adam and Wade showing what team work looks like.

Lucy and Tessa. Being cute. Period.

Lucy looking over my shoulder..."Are those apple brats?"
