Fish cuties

These are a few of my current favorites at work. They both live in the live coral display. So cool.

Invasives are coming

A year ago we were putting the finishing touches on a grant to fund a new invasives exhibit at the Aquarium. All while I was uber pregnant and waiting...tick tick tick for Lu to arrive. We got the grant! And I spent the summer getting to know our new kiddo. Flash forward and we're about to open this new exhibit on Wednesday.

The round gobies are in holding still. Everytime you go in to see them, they all swim to the glass and check you out. I love it. If they weren't so hard on our local habitat and fish, I'd give them a "very cute" award.

Most things are installed. Just waiting on a few pieces.

Divers pulled this chair out of the harbor. It's covered in zebra mussels. Look for it suspended from the ceiling in the new exhibit!

A week with Grandma Pam

Pam stayed in Duluth this week to help out while Ryan was in the field. It was very helpful to have her here. Especially because Lucy had pink eye, was teething/not sleeping and was a little under the weather in general. So Lucy and Pam hung out, took naps, played, went on a few outings and did lots and lots of laundry. Lu is very "helpful" with laundry if you call pulling everything out of the basket quickly helpful.
Thanks Pam for spending time with us this week.

More party

My mom went nuts and made b-day party magic with a few things we had around the house (thank you bonspiel bin!) and a chair she picked up as a birthday throne.

Opening presents. Thanks folks!

Groovin on a Saturday night

Lucy plays a wicked maraca.

She's looking at the radio here. It's sitting on the couch. I love her toddler shoulder shrug dance moves. She does this move standing up and holding on to thing too, but we have yet to catch it on film.

Happy Birthday Mimi!

Self explanatory photo shoot. Awesome combination of sign ripping and "so big".

Sweetness.

Experiential learning

These are just like O's right?

Are you kidding me? These don't taste anything like O's. I'll never trust you again! Until the next time.

Springtime is busting out all over

Several weeks later! The garden is a growin'. I want to just sit and stare at the crab apple tree. It is so beautiful. Looks great especially because Ry took the time and risked a limb or two to prune it.

The smell. OH, the smell. It's heavenly.

This just might drive Ryan crazy.
