Pool time!

G and G Erickson had a pool at their hotel. Fun times! Lu was totally content to splash around in there. I think she tought it was a big bathtub. But was confused about why she was wearing clothes.

G and G Erickson visit

Pam and Brian came to visit this weekend. We watched Ryan curl a few ends, went to the Aquarium, ate good food....and napped. Lucy took huge naps all three days they were here. Huge as in 2-3 hours. That never happens. So much for hanging out. :)

Gpa Erickson brought fun games for Lu. And tried his hand at schooling Ryan.

Training her early

As mentioned before Ryan is the laundry captain at our house. Sometimes he subcontracts out though. You get what you pay for...in this case mostly drool.

Dolly Llama

We visited the Lake Superior Zoo recently. This llama was very interested in us (and the donkey/llama/goat snacks).

Lessons from Dad on Valentine's Day

This evening Ryan taught Lucy a few valuable lessons about moose.

1. If a moose comes at you, either run away or eat its face.* If you decide on the face eating route. Don't half ass it.

2. If you give a moose a muffin be sure you have plenty of jam. And muffin mix. Otherwise things may get crazy and you might not have time for crazy.

Life lessons like these are surely examples of true love.

Happy Valentine's Day.

*Moose referenced has multi-colored feet, chewy antlers and wears a fashion scarf.

Laundry captain takes a break

A guy confident in his fatherdom. Relaxing on a Saturday night. Reclining on a pile of cloth diapers waiting to be folded...

Ry does the laundry at our house. For which I am eternally grateful.

First ski!

Trouble

We got several interesting notes home from daycare recently:

"Lucy keeps trying to chew on Liam's hand..."

"Lucy loves sitting at the table with her friends. Every time we look over though, she has stolen everyone else's toys...and is sitting there with a big pile in front of her."

Maybe that's why she smiles so sweetly. It's a decoy so that we don't ask how her day at school was.

Between the chewing on children and the rolling to get around...we're in for a whole new chapter.

Bath time and tummy time

This baby has the longest arms in the world.

Baby alphabet soup.

Note: Beautiful baby skin. Hurrah for figuring out the excema triggers.

This pose lasted all of 2.5 seconds. And then she rolls over. But we're working on it. The flashing toy in the corner is helping. Funny how we went from trying to get her to roll over....to now trying to get her to like being on her belly. Such high expectations....
