Easter Weekend

While Ryan tries to convince Lucy that it's bedtime here are some of the fun things she SHOULD be tired from doing...
1. Aquarium time with Ryan
2. Brunch and a walk with Pam, Brian, Joel, Shannon, Natalie and Ethan
3. Barking/"speaking" to Snickerdoodle - this was something new this weekend. Everytime the dog came into view Lucy would let out a strange sound that we think means "dog". She did the same thing on our walk when we came across another dog. It's hard to read whether it means she's happy, scared or just saying hello.
4. Pool time at G&G Pam and Brian's hotel
Sleep time now? Hope so. I know a couple parents who could use some decent sleep.
Snuggle and smiles with Pam

Splashing with Brian

Practicing with Ry. Lu was a much more advanced swimmer this time. She kicked and splashed and really seemed to be enjoying herself. So looking forward to this summer.

Babyproofing

And so it begins. Yes, we know our house is not baby proof. And it really should be. Lucy rolled to the bookshelf and tried her darndest to climb up on it. Guess we know what we'll be doing for the next week or so. Packing up half our stuff so that a fledgling crawler can't gag, choke, chew or destroy something dangerous, precious or otherwise inappropriate.

Swinging with Mimi

What with the snow and all - playing on the swing inside was a fun option. Lucy and my mom laughed and laughed and laughed together. Apparently they spent much of the evening (while Ry and I were on a dinner/movie date) doing just this.

Milestone!

Lucy started clapping while my parents were here. What fun! She got lots of positive encouragement.

Mimi and Grandpa Towne visit D-town

My parents were in town this weekend. And in classic fashion - Duluth's weather (a snow storm in mid-April) solidified their impression that we live on the arctic tundra. Fun was still had though.
Lu and Grandpa reading.

We went to the greenhouse at UMD. Things are blooming!

Grandparents are fun! Where did that bunny come from?

Mimi and grandpa jumped right into things with bathtime, meals and playing.

Every little thing is gonna be alright

Life has been so busy lately. We haven't gotten that many photos but I was experimenting with new angles at the table (we get our best footage there for some reason) and got this gem. Music is a winner with Lucy. She waves her arms and sings along at home, in the car and at daycare. Fun to wonder where that will lead.

This is the face...

...Lu makes when hanging out with Clare.

...early in the morning.

...Lu makes when eating something new or a rice puff or a cheerio. So basically this is her eating face.
