As many in the midwest know it's been a constant stream of snow for days now. It's been a sort of "instant winter". Lucy enthusiastically points and says "snow" over and over and over again. That's a lot of snow.
Her exact words, "uh oh Mama". We hear that phrase pretty often these days. It could mean that her pant leg is up or it could mean that something sticky is now all over the floor. It keeps the mystery alive.
Watching Ryan clear the sidewalks with the snow blower. We have been working on blowing on food when it's hot and Lucy was enthusiastic about using this skill whenever we talked about the snow blower. It must be so hard to learn the difference in these combinations of words. The snow banks are almost as big as she is.
There are paved streets under there somewhere.
Happy girl in the sled. Although ironically there is too much snow to use it well. We did most of our sledding on the sidewalk.
The birds were all a-flutter around our house today. We put some bird seed on the porch railing and waiting for them to come closer. One chickadee was brave enough before Lu was over sitting still.
Ryan discovered that Lu likes to be thrown into snow banks. Are you surprised? Although the skeptic in me (I've known him a long time) thought this was probably only 25% true - turns out he was right. Yes Ryan. You were right. Here she is mid-launch. See that grin?
Plunk.
